YMCA Camp Counselor

This is my third year being a camp counselor at a local YMCA. I am the team leader for the 5/6 year old girls. I really enjoy my job because I have an opportunity to touch the lives of these girls in a positive way. We do several activities: gym time with daily exercising, snack, arts and crafts, movie time, board games, and swimming. This is truly a rewarding experience. The girls are great! There are a few behavior problems sometimes, but nothing too serious. The YMCA focuses on character development: caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect.

First Online Class

I must admit that I was nervous about my first online class, but now I feel much more comfortable. The myitlab program is well organized, so it is easy to find and complete all assignments and discussions. I have never met my classmates or professor, but based on the introductory discussion, I can tell that they are a great group of people! Online classes are more convenient becuase you can work at your own pace to complete assignments. I will definitely try more online classes in the near future.
